babble: One State The notion of a land-rooted ‘national’ identity is the most absurd construction of all in this day and age. It is a reactionary stance (as it was when the Fascists hit on it a century ago) to the unrootedness and deterritorialisation brought about by the emergence of global media, communications, and the circulation of capital on an ever-expanding scale.
